Our Goal: Facilitating Innovation in education and serving as a bridge for culture across time and space.
In 2023, in a world free from the COVID-19 pandemic, travelers are once again embarking on journeys, and international exchanges are regaining their previous vibrancy and intensity. Remaining true to its original mission, the Quanta Culture & Education Foundation has never ceased its efforts. It has reached from rural areas to urban centers, from domestic to international, from technology education to art education. Not only does it inspire creativity through art, but it also aims to foster critical thinking through technology. The foundation actively promotes educational innovation by facilitating collaboration among teachers and educators, connecting international resources, and serving as a cultural bridge.
QCEF partnered with the New Taipei City Government for a five-year programming education initiative, named the Quanta "Immersed in AI" Program. The program showcased a public-private partnership with the "Programming Education Experience Center", "Selfcreation and Technology Education Center", and "Allied Schools".
The Quanta "Immersed in Creativity" (hereafter referred to as IIC) Program constantly innovated its curatorial content and display formats, emphasizing travel-themed experiences. Its aim was to inspire children, prepare them for the future, and connect them with the world.
QCEF is dedicated to three main pillars: technology education, art education, and innovative education. It aligns with the annual Sustainability policy of the Quanta Group and serves
as a significant initiative to promote cultural equality. The accomplishments for the year 2023 are as follows:

Thank you to the QCEF for providing
me with such a fantastic opportunity.
This year, I have decided to focus
on the theme of my fifth-grade
year: "The Eternal Dialogue of My
Hometown". The topic I have chosen
is Ms. Chen Jin's oil painting titled
"Leisure". When I first reached the
semi-finals, this piece of work held
great importance to me. I have
participated in the IIC Awards for the
fifth time. I am about to prepare for
the university entrance exam, and this
will be my final competition. I aspire
to revisit the beginning and guide
everyone through the same artwork,
once again narrating the story of
Taiwan's art.

Quanta Design Learning
Based on the DBL theory, PBL
is combined with "design
thinking" to incorporate the
essential elements of curatorial
thinking and computational
thinking. This approach helps
teachers design "real tasks"
that align with students' needs,
enabling students to experience
the satisfaction of mastering
knowledge while completing
tasks. Additionally, it fosters the
development of critical thinking,
communication, collaboration,
and creativity, which are the core
abilities known as the 4Cs.
Annual course theme is
based on the proposition of
the SDGs project, aligning
with the promotion of the
social aspect in ESG. It aims
to encourage students to
address the international
SDGs goals. The course guides
the students to discover and
solve everyday problems,
showcasing their dedication
to the environmental aspect
of ESG. It plants to foster the
development of interdisciplinary
talents in alignment with the
group's sustainable strategy of
promoting talent sustainability.
Pei-Yu Wu, Teacher, Guangfu
Elementary School, Taipei City
My original teaching approach
involved selecting a topic to teach
students, gathering all the necessary
information on my own, and then
finding a way to effectively convey
this information to the students.
However, this approach resulted in
passive learning on the part of the
students. However, the "Design
Learning" program at Quanta
is designed to provide students
with a task. They are required
to gather relevant information,
engage in discussions, integrate the
information, and devise solutions
to the problems they encounter.
The teacher's role is to assist and
participate in the discussions,
while the students actively take
charge of their own learning. The
students' learning has transitioned
from passive to active, and the role
of the teachers has evolved from
being mere instructors to becoming
facilitators. They now foster the
students' enthusiasm and eagerness
for learning. Consequently, both
the learning process and teaching
methods have become more
engaging and enjoyable!
- Conducted a Learning Designer Training
Camp:
A total of 99 teachers from 42 schools across
13 counties and cities in Taiwan, including the
outlying island of Kinmen, participated in a threeday,
two-night camp. During this immersive
experience, teachers shifted their focus from
"how to teach" to "how to learn". By designing
a learning task centered around the real-life
challenges of "Resilient Homeland", they were
able to reverse their approach to teaching
and provide scaffolding for enhanced student
learning.
- Students Engage in Learning Courses:
The curatorial task empowered students as
"curators", guiding them through the process
of summarizing, analyzing, interpreting, and
presenting. This was achieved through exhibition visits,
curator sharing, and active involvement in
curatorial operations.
The digital task empowered students as
"designers" to experience the process of
computational and design thinking through
real-life examples of problem cases. This
journey involved observation and empathy,
problem definition, creative conceptualization,
prototyping, and concluded with the final stage
of presentation and revision.
- Presentation of Achievements:
The 2022 academic year Quanta "Design
Learning" program was conducted at the
Huashan 1914 Creative Park. The project
included 16 partner schools and 9 learning
designer teams to create teaching tasks and
the exhibition of achievements, culminating in
a final exchange forum. around the theme of
"Agelessness".
- Collaboration between industry, government, and academia:
We are pleased to announce the continuation of our cooperation
agreement with the Bureau of Education, Tainan City Government for
the academic years 2021 to 2023. As part of this agreement, we have
signed a three-year collaboration plan to train and develop local seed
schoolteachers in Tainan. This collaboration will involve interdisciplinary
cooperation and cross-school preparation, with the goal of designing
innovative local curriculum in Tainan.
- Project Implementation Results:
- Participating counties and cities: 13
- Participating Schools: 101
- Number of trained teachers: 220
- Number of participating students: 4,075

The topic I have chosen is Ms. Chen Jin's oil painting titled "Leisure". When I first reached the semi-finals, this piece of work held great importance to me. I have participated in the IIC Awards for the fifth time. I am about to prepare for the university entrance exam, and this will be my final competition. I aspire to revisit the beginning and guide everyone through the same artwork, once again narrating the story of Taiwan's art. |

Quanta Design Learning
Based on the DBL theory, PBL is combined with "design thinking" to incorporate the essential elements of curatorial thinking and computational thinking. This approach helps teachers design "real tasks" that align with students' needs, enabling students to experience the satisfaction of mastering knowledge while completing tasks. Additionally, it fosters the development of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, which are the core abilities known as the 4Cs. Annual course theme is based on the proposition of the SDGs project, aligning with the promotion of the social aspect in ESG. It aims to encourage students to address the international SDGs goals. The course guides the students to discover and solve everyday problems, showcasing their dedication to the environmental aspect of ESG. It plants to foster the development of interdisciplinary talents in alignment with the group's sustainable strategy of promoting talent sustainability. |
Pei-Yu Wu, Teacher, Guangfu
Elementary School, Taipei City
My original teaching approach involved selecting a topic to teach students, gathering all the necessary information on my own, and then finding a way to effectively convey this information to the students. However, this approach resulted in passive learning on the part of the students. However, the "Design Learning" program at Quanta is designed to provide students with a task. They are required to gather relevant information, engage in discussions, integrate the information, and devise solutions to the problems they encounter. The teacher's role is to assist and participate in the discussions, while the students actively take charge of their own learning. The students' learning has transitioned from passive to active, and the role of the teachers has evolved from being mere instructors to becoming facilitators. They now foster the students' enthusiasm and eagerness for learning. Consequently, both the learning process and teaching methods have become more engaging and enjoyable! |

Ambassador
In collaboration with the Department of Foreign Language Department at Fu Jen Catholic University, we have invited international students from four countries, including Germany, Japan, Poland, and Peru to visit five schools in Taiwan for a cultural exchange. The program's annual theme was "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030". The culture ambassadors and partner schools shared the practices of their respective countries and schools related to SDGs, promoting cultural exchange between both parties. International exchange theme is based on the proposition of the SDGs project, aligning with the promotion of the social aspect in ESG. It aims to encourage students to address the international SDGs goals. |

Through the Quanta Cultural Ambassador Program, Taiwanese students have the opportunity to engage in a two-way cultural exchange with students from Germany, with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program not only strengthens the integration of our national SDGs curriculum but also introduces the SDG practices followed in Germany. Moreover, it enhances language proficiency and broadens international perspectives. |

Fly towards brightness and hope with the wings of art.
In this rapidly changing era, the Quanta Arts Foundation is at the forefront, aiming to establish itself as a leading force in original performing arts in Taiwan. Not only are we dedicated to cultivating innovative artistic talents, but we are also committed to creating a comprehensive platform for creative development in Taiwan. Over the past fifteen years, we have dedicated significant effort to four key areas: promoting creativity, fostering the convergence of technology and art, facilitating international exchanges, and nurturing talent. Our accomplishments in these areas have been remarkable.
This effort is based on a deep understanding of the impact of performing arts. It serves not only as a reflection and contemplation of the present world, but also as a potent tool for communication and influence. Performing arts enhance social and cultural experiences and inspire people's creativity and imagination. Driven by a powerful creative energy, not only has the art itself thrived, but related industries have also prospered, thereby stimulating economic development, enhancing the environment, and advancing society. Through the power of art and culture, we can achieve prosperity in our lives while reaching a level of spiritual excellence.
After the epidemic, cultural and artistic activities worldwide have not only recovered quickly but also accelerated innovation through the integration of AI technology and media development. Performing arts promote global communication and understanding through their innovative and unique language that transcends borders and cultures. The Quanta Arts Foundation, with care and a sense of responsibility, will stay attuned to the current trends, foster the thriving development of performing arts in Taiwan, and demonstrate boundless potential and future prospects.
